Take a VIRTUAL TOUR of our campus

Perhaps your regular caregiver is going on vacation. Or you may get an early discharge from the hospital and are not yet ready to return home alone. We are here to help.

Our respite care program provides a temporary stay in a furnished studio apartment for 30 days or more. With no long-term commitments, you and your caregiver can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your needs will be met.

The distinctive architecture of our historic building allows us to have over 30 floor plans to choose from. This provides you a unique space to call your own.

Just-like-home features

If you need some help with your day-to-day routine while you are here, relax. We can make sure you get assistance with the same things you get at home. Our private, spacious studio apartments include:
  • Smoke detectors and sprinkler system
  • A private kitchen
  • Generous storage
  • An emergency call system located in the bedroom and bathroom
  • 24-hour on-site staff
  • Individually controlled heating and air conditioning units
  • Ample resident and guest parking
  • Post office with private, locked mail boxes
  • Weekly maid service
  • Weekly flat linen service
  • Complimentary laundry rooms with two washers and two dryers in each
  • Business center available
  • Paid utilities (gas, electric)
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Nutrition Center for off-hour snacks
  • Professional nursing care (RN) and skilled care up to 120 days

  • Assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing

On-site rehab services (a la cart)

You may have short-term needs for rehabilitative care after surgery or other hospital stays for illness or injury. If so, we can help you recover from a stroke, knee replacement or other situations that require further care and assistance, but not hospitalization.

Therapy services are especially important to those receiving care for rehabilitation. Working in partnership with Gem City Home Care, we offer:
  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech therapy

At 10 Wilmington Place, we know that convenience is key to your well-being. That’s why we provide home health care services right in your own residence through Gem City Home Care.

From skilled nursing care to help with meal preparation, the Gem City Home Care staff provides the help you need in the comfortable surroundings of your own home at an affordable fee. Assistance includes:
  • Nurses
  • Therapists
  • Homemakers
  • Medical social worker
