Dayton City Commissioner Dean Lovelace and I stopped long enough for a camera smile. We had great food, music and a real fun time. The Americas Packard Museum brought over some of their beauties for Independent Living residents and guests to have a Sunday drive around our 34 acres campus. Most Daytonians are not aware of the fact that the Museum is located in downtown Dayton. You should take the family there for a visit (www.americaspackardmuseum.org) it is really something to see. Even the owner Barry Humphries and his Marilyn couldn't resist a chance to ride in one of these well polished machines from a day long gone by. What a great day, what a great community.

we look forward to enjoying his wonderful food talents for many more. Congratulations Keith, all of us that have enjoyed your creations know that this honor is well deserved.
For all of you that welcomed me as the new 10 Wilmington Place Director, I thank you. We had a wonderful reception in the Newcome Lounge that spilled over into all of the community rooms (not to mention the great food prepared by Chef Keith). I am overwhelmed by the supportive staff and the sincere friendliness of the residents and their families. Having come from a large prominent multi-level senior facility, I can assure you that the atmosphere here can only be described as superior. So much caring, so much laughter, I pinch myself to be sure I am really here. Thank you all and I look forward to being a good steward of your trust.
Residents, staff and even some ghosts, crept out of hiding to join our Annual Halloween Party. Our Chef Keith went all out with lavish trays of finger foods (not real fingers) and our pastry chef created green faced witch cookies. Cleopatra and Caesar walked away with "Best Costume."
How does he do it? Residents took turns coming on stage to check his pockets, sleeves and even in his mouth to figure out the trick. Our visiting Magician wasn't sharing his secrets but he sure spread a lot of laughter while residents and guests continued to be amazed at how much he had hidden in that mouth. If you would like to join us as a guest for an upcoming attraction, just contact us and we'll send you a list of upcoming events.
Today the children from Wee Haven Children's Center came to visit us. They brought some homemade gifts and sang songs for our residents in exchange for some treats and lots of hugs. No tricks today, just the treat of watching their little faces light up the room.
