Volunteers are the apple of our eye!

Troy Hutchinson - Thursday, April 19, 2012

Senior Retirement Living 10 Wilmington Place

A special ceremony was held to honor the commitment of volunteers to our community.

Volunteers are the core of our community.  They help out with behind the scenes tasks, promote leadership, provide music and laughter, create fellowship and most of all sit quietly and listen when someone needs to talk.

Many of our volunteers say they receive great satisfaction and have met more people by getting involved and they hope to inspire others to volunteer by saying, "Yes I can, and so can you!"

Thank you for all you do!

Amazing Results in Memory Care!

Troy Hutchinson - Tuesday, January 17, 2012

Our Director of Nursing, Donna Campbell, reported amazing results about medication reduction with residents inThe Josephine Memory Care Center with the implementation of the behavior based ergonomic program.

Over the past 8 months, 6 out of 12 residents withAlzheimer’s and/or dementia had a significant reduction with the use pain and behavioral medications, and 3 of them are no longer taking medications for behavior at all.

All the residents have an increased interest in activities and social interactions with family and other residents.  We believe these results are evidence of the compassion, hard work and commitment of the staff and our behavior based ergonomics program.

10 Wilmington Place has earned another deficiency free survey from the Ohio Dept. of Health.  This is the 8th consecutive year that we have received this distinction.

The rating was awarded following an unannounced on-site survey that reviewed the facility’s overall quality of care, adherence to state health requirements and implemented procedures.

10 Wilmington Place congratulates our staff for achieving this goal.  Keep up the excellent work!

Memory Care opens with pride

Troy Hutchinson - Tuesday, May 10, 2011
After over a year of planning, hammering and sweeping plaster dust, the fourth floor of 10 Wilmington Place has been transformed into a beautiful extension of our continuum of care services. The Grand Opening ceremony of our Memory Care apartments was a hit with residents as well as outside guests. These apartments are spacious and ready for residents to bring the comfort of their own furniture and enjoy the family-style environment. The plans are to open even more apartments in the coming months. If you are interested in a tour, give us a call, we love to show it off.
