Here's what a few have to say…

“I wish I would have made this move several years sooner!”

Helen O’Bryant

Helen O’Bryant

A retired schoolteacher who enjoys reading and interacting with people, Helen O’Bryant was feeling alone and isolated in her home. She missed the company of others.

“I like staying busy and grew increasingly frustrated having no one to socialize with. When I first visited 10 Wilmington Place, I sensed an energy that I didn’t feel at other retirement communities. There is so much going on here that I’m not in my apartment very much.”

“I like to help make people smile and tell my friends they better not wait too long to move in, this is the closest place to Heaven that I know.”

“We liked there were no endowment or big entry fees.”

— Paul & Louise Shelly

Paul and Louise Shelly

Paul and Louise Shelly worked hard to plan and save for their retirement and didn’t want to entrust their life savings to a board of directors as a pre-requisite to moving in.

“We visited many retirement communities that required an up front endowment fee — we prefer to manage our own money. 10 Wilmington Place had the most spacious apartments of all the places we visited, we don’t feel cooped up here. Plus, we didn’t have to sign our life away to get our apartment!”

“In many ways, the residents and staff of 10 Wilmington Place have become a second family, which I enjoy and treasure deeply.”

“10 Wilmington Place was the best fit for my budget.”

Alan Graybill

Alan Graybill

Alan Graybill was very thorough in his search for a retirement community. He wanted the best overall value for his budget and still be able to enjoy life.

“I visited seven or eight retirement communities and chose 10 Wilmington Place for it’s overall value. My dollar goes very far here…I’m glad I came as early as I did and didn’t wait too long. I value my independence, I hop in my car and come and go as I please.”

"Friendly residents and staff made our transition easy and we feel right at home.”

Pete and Mickey

The Eveslages

At 10 Wilmington Place, Pete and Mickey not only found a beautiful place to call home, but friends "built in" as neighbors. An added bonus!

“We visited all the retirement communities in the area and chose 10 Wilmington Place because there was no endowment fee, plenty of storage and closets along with a spacious kitchen. We also like how light and bright the hallways and apartments are and we can leave our maintenance problems behind along with meal planning.”

“We have enjoyed meeting other residents and now don't feel as isolated as we were when we live in our condo.

"10 Wilmington Place is as close to heaven as I'll get here on earth!"

Cookie Bucher

Cookie Bucher

Cookie enjoys the conveniences of 10 Wilmington Place that take all of the "work" out of living. Some of these conveniences are deliciously prepared meals, beautifully landscaped grounds, and planned entertainment—just for starters.

“What a luxurious life I lead: no cooking ...what with our first class chef to serve up delicious, wonderfully varied food in our dining room, and no dishwasher to load and unload. There is nothing for me to do but enjoy.

"Upkeep? I no longer spend my time cleaning, trying to manage a garage or attic full of "stuff," or arranging for things to get fixed. They take care of it all and even make up my bed with fresh linens!

"I love having my family here for Sunday Brunch and having my two little granddaughters overnight so we can play "hollie-gollie" and checkers and Bingo on Friday night and maybe have a snowball fight (like we had in December)!

"And lastly, I am surrounded by a super great staff who are always available to answer questions, provide special entertainment, get us to the grocery and to church and ... I could go on and on ... you name it and they provide it!

"While I miss California and my son Tom, I love living at 10 Wilmington Place plus having friends in at least once a week for lunch.

" Do I have it made? You betcha! It doesn't get any better than this.”
