“...My mother lived there for three years [until she passed away]. She lived in both the independent and assisted living sections. I could not be more satisfied with her experience.  Most importantly, I ALWAYS felt she was safe and well-cared for,  which was very important to me!  Our experience was that the staff was friendly and competent. The rooms were unique...not your standard "squares." Most had high windows that looked out onto beautifully landscaped grounds. The food was great. In the assisted living section, her needs were carefully met. I usually visited daily and was well-aware of what was happening throughout the entire building since we walked the halls when she was able. Again, see for yourself!”

My father-in-law is at 10 Wilmington Place. The place is amazing, and the staff are amazing too. They have a wide variety of activities that they do in the memory care floor, and his room is big enough for what he needs.

Very friendly place!! Dad moved in 6 months ago and have never seen him so happy. Making friends, eating meals with other people and daily evening movies!! He also loves all the music related performances and historical presentations! Thank you also [to] the professional therapists and nursing staff for his individualized care.

Everything is top notch. My advice to anyone looking to place there loved one here, is to be relaxed and know that they are in good hands.

My parents love it! Overall it has been a great experience for them. They get to have their independence, yet they have people there that have been extremely beneficial for everything that they need. The apartment is cute and the perfect size for the two of them. And I like the fact that they don't have to worry about cooking for themselves, doing the shopping, cleaning up. And housekeeping is taken care of for them as well.

The 10 Wilmington Place was the most impressive facility of all of the ones I toured. They seemed to have a lot more staff available and a lot of things to offer. They had a movie theater that no else had. They had activities centered around the community, like pizza night and different things. There seemed to be more of them and in different locations. It was a much bigger building than any of the others, so they had more opportunities. The person that took us on the tour (as we went up and down the halls from floor-to-floor) didn't see a person that she didn't know by name. They had room options. There was a studio and a studio deluxe, which was just slightly bigger where you can tuck a bed back into a wall, like a hotel room. I didn't see anything that was lacking. They had variations in the menus and the meals from day-to-day. There was a whole month's worth that we could see. It was not very repetitive. There was a lot of staff around that were even not aware that we were there, but the way they were interacting with the residents seemed to be so positive. It was very encouraging to whoever they were dealing with. You could tell that made a difference. There was no one there that I would feel uncomfortable with. It was the most impressive facility in a lot of ways including the exterior, the cleanliness, and the architecture. Everything about the building was topnotch. I am ready to go live there.

10 Wilmington Place is by far the best retirement community in the Dayton and surrounding areas. I spent much time visiting and evaluating other independent living, assisted living and memory care facilities in the Dayton area in choosing a place for care for both my late Mother and Mother-in-law. Unfortunately I did not include this community in my research. BIg mistake! I recently broke both my ankle and foot and needed a no weight bearing safe environment to stay. 10 Wilmington place took me in with open arms for a temporary respite. I stayed for nearly 10 weeks and can’t say enough good things about not only the facility and its many amenities but also the excellent quality service of all of their staff. Not only were the staff extremely accommodating and friendly but all of the residents were welcoming and kind and just fun to be around! While there, I was provided with skilled occupational and physical therapists and free transportation to all of my appointments. The activities provided endless fun with trivia, weekly music, daily happy hour, outdoor dining, two cinema theaters, Wii bowling, bingo and pool table just to name a few. Also included were weekly trips to the grocery, lunch out at nearby restaurants and church on Sunday. A fitness center, store, salon, post office, massage parlor and chapel are available as well. I am well enough to go home now but won’t forget the wonderful time I experienced there! I truly felt like I was on vacation and will definitely be back for visits! Thank you to all of 10 Wilmington…you were a Godsend for me!

10 Wilmington Place is very nice. The food is good and the people are all nice. They have a lot of amenities as well as activities. There are three libraries, two theaters, and a bowling alley. They have Bible study, an arts and crafts session, happy hours, and live music a lot of times. Today, they had trivia and Bible study. The other day we had a Wii bowling tournament. The staff is just outstanding. The desk is there 24/7 and they are very professional and very good. They keep the facilities immaculate.

I will be moving into 10 Wilmington Place. I liked the floor plans. There were a lot of windows in the apartments that let in a lot of light. I liked the amenities. They seemed to have a lot of activities and a lot of things to do. I liked that it was family-owned and not run by a company or a corporation. I liked the food. There were exercise classes, card games, and field trips. There's a fitness center and a hair salon.
