Don’t Take Our Word for It! A Look at 10 Wilmington Place Reviews

At 10 Wilmington Place, we’re proud of the community we’ve built.

We love talking about our incredible campus, wide variety of amenities and activities, great food, 26 different floor plans and our amazing team available to all of our Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.

We can share our love of 10 Wilmington Place all day — but don’t take our word for it!

Our residents and their loved ones are our favorite way to spread the word about our community, and one of the most trusted sources for feedback about retirement communities is on A Place for Mom, which helps families find a great fit and peace of mind.

10 Wilmington Place in Dayton Ohio

We’re extremely proud of our review scores, which are among the best in the Dayton, Ohio area. So we thought we’d shine a spotlight on some of these reviews, sharing a few of our favorite thoughts from those who have experience across our continuum of care:

Independent Living

  • This Independent Living resident said they toured six different communities before choosing 10 Wilmington Place.

“I liked the floor plans. There were a lot of windows in the apartments that let in a lot of light. I liked the amenities. They seemed to have a lot of activities and a lot of things to do. There were exercise classes, card games, and field trips. There's a fitness center and a hair salon. I liked that it was family-owned and not run by a company or a corporation. I liked the food. I don't have to cook and I don't have to do dishes. They'll clean the apartment and change the sheets. You can even have them do your laundry. It's nearly maintenance free living!”

  • This reviewer called 10 Wilmington Place “head and shoulders above” other communities, and said they have been visiting locations for more than a decade with their grandparents.

“I have always said there is 10 Wilmington, then there is the rest. Some of the facilities I have visited seem like a place people are waiting out their final days. At 10 Wilmington, they are too busy living to give too much thought to moving on. Folks were dining (great food the times I ate there) bowling, shooting pool, working out in the gym. I had a small party ask if I would like to join them for a cocktail and a movie. I was ready to move in while I was still in my early 50's.”

  • This current resident wanted to leave a review to recommend 10 Wilmington Place to others in her position.

“I am currently a resident at 10 Wilmington Place and everything has been very good for me here at this facility as of yet. The cleanliness and friendliness are just great! The staff, activities and services are also great. The food and the value for cost are very good. I would recommend 10 Wilmington Place to others. This facility has everything that you need!”

Assisted Living

  • This review called 10 Wilmington Place “senior living at its best!”

“Our loved one moved to 10 Wilmington…and has enjoyed her time there while receiving the support that she needs. The facility and grounds are beautifully kept, there are many activities and the food is delicious. The staff treats residents and their families with warmth and dignity.”

  • Experiences touring different communities can be drastically different, so we often hear that people are “pleasantly surprised” by their visits — which was the title of this review!

“Everything is top notch. My advice to anyone looking to place their loved one here, is to be relaxed and know that they are in good hands.”

  • Like many of our residents and their families, this reviewer was sold on 10 Wilmington Place by a tour of our grounds. And the flexibility of our care and the expertise of our staff and their recommendations seem to have made the difference.

“We were able to go into an empty apartment in independent living, which is very similar to the assisted living apartments. Here, they actually suggested mom try independent living with the addition of an on-site homecare option, and if that proved inadequate she could move to assisted living when available. They thought mom sounded like a good fit for that as she is largely independent. This is a large community on beautiful grounds. This was mom's first choice.”

Memory Care

  • Helping a loved one move into Memory Care always comes with some trepidation, so it warms our hearts that this review called 10 Wilmington Place “a home away from home” for their father.

“I have to say that we were doubtful about the idea of moving my dad away from home, but I am very comfortable with him being there and I don't worry about him at all anymore. In fact, my mom will be moving into independent living soon, and they will then be in the same building and can have meals and go to activities together. I also like that they offer the continuum of care. The environment is gorgeous and they have the ability to get outside on the beautiful porch as well. The people who work there are so nice and I am included in his care and I always know what is going on. I should add, the residents there seem so happy. I have never heard them say one negative word about the community. We are very pleased with our choice!”

  • Acclimating to a new community is always a challenge, especially in memory care, so we loved that this review was titled, “My father has adjusted well to this community.”

“Everything is working out very well for my father here at this community. He seems to have adjusted well to it and is happy. It is a nice looking community, everything is very nice and clean. They have an excellent staff, they are caring for him well. This is a community I would recommend, he is in good hands here. They are providing him with great care.”

  • 10 Wilmington Place prides itself on being an independent, family-owned community, and that shines through for our residents and their families.

“We couldn't be happier with 10 Wilmington Place! My dad has lived there now for a couple of months and is very happy. The residents are all so friendly and appear to be very happy. The food is delicious, my dad described it as feeling like he was on a cruise ship! He loves the activities, too! Also, great value for the money. We love that it is family-owned and not run by a corporation.”
