Think social media is just for young people? Think again!

At 10 Wilmington Place, we love getting to know our residents and their histories. It’s so rewarding to learn from their experiences, build stronger relationships and to engage their memories. We truly have the best residents! 

Sometimes, we like to ask questions that might jog their memories, allowing them to spend a little bit of time reminiscing about the past while we learn a bit more about them. We recently asked a simple question while recording: What were our residents’ favorite concerts they attended in person? 

Their answers blew us away. From Neil Diamond (three times) to Elvis Pressley to The Beatles, our residents have seen some heavy-hitters. And when we shared the video on TikTok, the world took notice. 

In about two months, more than 64,000 people watched the TikTok of the seniors sharing their experiences. Viewers loved hearing our residents share their stories about some of the biggest names in music history. Others recalled their own stories from long ago.

The engaging video wasn't just a one-off. We enjoy sharing photos and videos highlighting the activities at 10 Wilmington Place to let the world know what a senior living community can offer. We enjoy showcasing our amazing food and the life experiences our residents bring to our community.
