What makes 10 Wilmington Place unique

At 10 Wilmington Place, Assisted Living is more than just a place to live—it’s a supportive and vibrant community where residents thrive. Every resident receives a personalized care plan to ensure they get just the right amount of support while maintaining as much independence as possible.

Jen Larochelle-Starbuck, our Assisted Living Activities Manager, describes what makes our approach different:

"Assisted Living at 10 Wilmington Place is different from any other place I have worked. This is not a facility but a community. My goal is to help residents thrive—meeting all their physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs. The owners care deeply about the residents we support and are always open to new ideas and technologies to help them thrive."

As one of the only family-owned Assisted Living communities in Dayton, we take a personal approach to care. Founded in 1986 by Barry and Marilyn Humphries and now led by their son Joe Williams, we’ve been committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care for nearly 40 years. For Marilyn, this became even more personal when her own mother spent five years in Assisted Living at 10 Wilmington Place. That experience gave the Humphries family a firsthand understanding of what truly matters to residents and their families—fostering an even stronger dedication to creating a community that feels like home.
