At 10 Wilmington Place, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to serve our residents. 

Rather than letting our amenities, programming and care get stagnant or fall behind the times, our staff is dedicated to providing new options, staying on the cutting edge of the industry and listening to what our residents want and need. This can manifest itself in a variety of ways, from new food options on our menu to setting up a dedicated space for Wii Bowling, which our residents love. 

One of the most exciting new additions to both our care plans and our activities list is an exciting new platform called LifeLoop. 

LifeLoop is a tablet-like software platform that provides a wealth of content tailored to their interests and abilities. The platform provides access to thousands of activities that promote cognitive stimulation, physical engagement, relaxation and more. 

Residents can watch movies, listen to music, virtually explore new sights around the world or even visit the places they once frequented. By integrating the technology and offerings of LifeLoop with our own programming and activities, we create a holistic experience that helps our residents enjoy a fulfilling and personalized daily life catered to their unique needs and preferences. 

For 10 Wilmington Place, the system can help us manage communication, better engage with our residents, keep family members connected and improve outcomes for our residents. It’s not just a game or a replacement for an iPad — LifeLoop is a way to truly improve care and engage our residents in a new way. 

For instance, studies have shown that incorporating music in senior care can activate memories, reduce agitation, improve motor function and more, especially for those with dementia. We also know that technology can help seniors stay engaged and avoid feeling isolated. 

At first, LifeLoop was designed to be a tool used as part of our Memory Care residents’ individualized care plans. The platform caters content to specific residents’ needs and cognitive abilities, providing insights to staff and loved ones. 

It didn’t take long for our staff and leadership to see the positive impact the system has on our Memory Care residents, and at 10 Wilmington Place, we’re always looking for ways to learn from our different communities. That’s why we’re rolling out elements of LifeLoop technology for both our Assisted Living and Independent Living residents as well! 

We’re committed to providing the very best experience across our entire continuum of care, so we wanted to make this fun and effective technology available to all of our residents. 

One of the great attributes of LifeLoop is its different applications for different parts of our community. While Memory Care residents can benefit from its memory-enhancing methods, our Assisted Living residents can benefit from its connectivity and communication tools and our Independent Living residents can benefit from staying technologically savvy and methods of staying active.  

We wouldn’t be implementing any new technology or activities if they didn’t come with our residents’ buy-in. The good news? Our residents love LifeLoop, and we’re so excited to be able to offer it to all of them.
